Watch this video before accepting any training methodology

Before you get a puppy. Before you do anything else with a dog, before you buy into any training philosophy or methodology, you SIMPLY MUST WATCH THIS VIDEO. I was reading a story on MSNBC the other day about how more and more women are choosing to have babies in their own homes, without the presence of medical personnel because the medical establishment has turned pregnancy “into disease that must be managed.”  

The same thing has happened with Puppy Raising. Dog experts in the past 20-30 years have turned puppies into a disease, into a disaster that needs to be controlled, confined, contained and fixed. Not the birth of puppies, but the actual puppies themselves.

There’s nothing wrong with a puppy. A puppy is an opportunity, not a problem. An opportunity to change your life and to change the world. A puppy is a bundle of energy and optimism and enthusiasm. The only thing that can screw that up is you, or the dog trainer or the dog training book or methodology or ideology you are using.  All I’m asking you to do is to think twice before you implement any philosophy. Look at what I’ve done with almost no effort with a pit bull type puppy that went through two homes before she got to me.  And I did it effortlessly.

In this video, I not only confront the Dog Whisperer and explain why I’m better than him, but I confront, just about all of conventional dog training with an astounding display of offleash pit bull type dog training in the streets of Southern California. Shock collars, prong collars, choke collars, gentle leader and halti collars, illusion collar, michael makes a mockery of the ridiculous array of collars used to force and punish dogs by focusing on the most powerful tool of all. The Dog’s brilliant mind.

This video will describe in stark contrast what separates me from the Dog Whisperer and any other trainer that relies on shock collars, choke collars, prong collars or other forms of correction/punishment to train dogs. It is astounding what I have done with this puppy in terms of offleash training without ever giving her a single  shock or leash correction. Astounding offleash pit bull training! The video will be released sometime over the thanksgiving break.

YouTube CensorshipIn the following video, I must have said something about dog fighting that YouTube didn’t like because they cancelled my entire account.

YouTube censors dog expert who talks about dog fights

In the video, I mentioned that I have witnessed dogs fighting to the death. This was one of the dogs. He was fighting to the death until I stopped him using my brilliant methods. And for this, YouTube censors have cancelled my entire account. For telling a story. This Chow was named MeeKim and he lived with another Chow named Tai Tai. I moved into that house with my lab and lab/chesapeake mix and one of the first things I noticed is that a true demon dog lived in that house. The two Chows were fighting so viciously, that they had to be separated at all times or they would fight to the death.

But I changed all that. It took time. These were not my dogs, but since I lived in the same house as them, I had to deal with their behavior because it affected my dogs.

YouTube cancelled my account today (November 5, 2009) after I posted a short video describing my experience with dogs over the past 17 years. Part of that experience involved two chows (not my dogs) who were fighting to the death, or would have fought to the death if I did not use my brilliant methods to stop them. It also described how my lab female Callie, nearly killed one of the chows after it attacked her son, Chazz. I stopped that as well and all the dogs lived happily ever after until old age.

Apparently, even talking about dog fights, which happen all over America, in family households among family pets, is something to be censored by YouTube. But it’s important to talk about it and so we can prevent it from happening, or break up the fights that WILL happen all over America.

I don’t expect a response from YouTube after they cancelled my entire account and all my videos, but I will blog about it here if it happens. I will also post the video in question within the next day, right here on the website.

If anyone reads this.

I would ask you to consider reinstating my account. In the most recent video I posted, I spoke of my experience with dog fighting. I specialize in preventing dog fights and I have used my methods to stop dogs from fighting who were fighting to the death. They did not fight to the death, thanks to me. They were not my dogs. I used my brilliant methods to get them to stop fighting.

I think you have overreacted to a user complaint. Whether we like it or not, dog fights happen all over america, all the time. And it’s usually not pit bulls. It is family pets of any breed.

I am someone who has valuable experience and knowledge in how to stop and prevent dog fights and for some odd reason, you have decided to silence me. Thank you for taking a second look at this. And not just because I went to the same college and had the same track coach as Chad Hurley and ran faster times than him.

It’s always big news when a pitbull type dog attacks someone or something. But how about when it’s the other way around? I have a special video clip coming up on dog fights and how to break up dog fights. Here is a quick screen shot from the video of a pitbull type puppy dog being attacked. I had left a camera running in my backyard while I went out to do some errands. As I came home to greet my dogs, a dog fight happened. You will see how I resolved it. Some chew toys last years, some last months, other weeks. Some toys last only minutes. Especially when the toy is being shared by a pitbull and a wild dog. The Wild dog did most of the damage. Stay tuned for the video review of the Hartz Cuddly-Cub mooing cow to see how long she lasted.

It was a cold winter morning around the turn of 2008 to 2009. I was fixing a computer in a warehouse area when a little puppy introduced himself, actually, herself. I petted the puppy and noticed that it was a “pitbull type” as I went about continuing to work on the computer which needed a complicated installation of UPS software including the transfer of a database from an old computer.

The puppy had been brought into the workplace because it was no longer welcome in its previous home. I wasn’t looking for a puppy. The puppy, however, was looking for a home. She was persistent and kept trying to jump into my lap as I worked on the computer. She probably weighed ten pounds, but it was enough of a load to make it hard to type as the puppy quickly fell asleep in my lap.

So after fixing the computer, I decided I would take the puppy into my office for a while. Not because I was thinking of taking her home, after all, like I said, I was NOT looking for a puppy and I know how much work it was to raise a puppy the right way…after all, I was a dog and puppy expert and nobody knew or knows how to raise a puppy like I do,  I thought to myself….

All I was doing is giving this puppy a headstart, by imparting some of my brilliance and knowledge, so that whoever adopted her, would be off on the right foot. But the nagging idea that nobody would understand this puppy like I would. Nobody would see her as an opportunity and not a problem. Few people would understand her energy and wonder at the world around her…Few people knew what I knew about puppies and how to raise them…especially a puppy who was already starting out with a black mark from society because of the way she looked. What do do? What to do? I really don’t need a puppy right now…

I’ll just let her hang out here for a while longer and then take her back to the warehouse.

I play a lot of tennis and I take Jackie Brown for a run every day and she naps after a night run while I am either editing video or watching a re-run of The Office Wedding on NBC. Jackie is the greatest company in the world. For those of you who don’t let dogs on the furniture, you don’t know what you’re missing. Dogs want to be where you are. People are constantly frustrating dogs natural inclinations and this results in stress and repression and confusion on the part of the dogs. The American Puppy Project is about raising a puppy without constantly trying to confine it or correct it or constrain it or put it in its place. These are all things that inhibit learning and development. Most dogs are shadows of what they could be…
