There Will Be Bloodhound

A massive intact male Bloodhound moves in next door and he wants to knock down the fence to get at the dogtv.com dogs. And Kwame Brown, the Wild dog, also an intact male, wants to go through the fence to get at the Bloodhound. Something must be done, or there will be Blood. Fence fighting, dominance aggression, intact male dogs, territoriality and the wise puppy jackie brown who supervises the fence fortification

Left Wing Puppy training. Right Wing Puppy Training. The Dog Whisperer is an Idiot and here’s proof

Michael T. Patton aka Cesar Millan aka Image Map

Typically, when a moron like Cesar Millan abuses a puppy like he does in the episode on Tobi and Riley, he doesn’t put it on video, where he might be liable for prosecution for animal abuse. He takes the dog to his “compound” and does the choking in private. I obviously underestimated his stupidity. He does this on film all the time. Most choke chain thugs like “The Dog Whisperer” are too stupid to understand anything else but brute force. But you’d think National Geographic wouldn’t be quite as stupid as their trainer?? Obviously, they have a fine legal team at natgeo.

Like most thug choke chain trainers, Cesar claims he only uses his abusive methods on “problem dogs” who will otherwise be euthanized if they aren’t trained. This is because that’s what it says in the 1962 book that Cesar Millan stole his whole method from. That book is called The Koehler Method of Dog Training. The Mein Kampf of dog training books.

Well….Riley the scared Saint Bernard puppy he is abusing in the video above is afraid to go up steps. Typical minor puppy problem and one that can easily be fixed without force by a two year old, much less a brilliant non idiot trainer such as Michael T. Patton aka “the General.” But the idiot Cesar Millan has no idea how to solve this issue without dragging and choking a 100 pound puppy by the throat. UnbeFreakingLievable!!

But this is good! Good for me anyway. It just opens up the door. Opens up the door, FOR ME. And if it wasn’t wide open anyway, I’d knock it down because there will be no stopping the advance of “The General” aka Michael T. Patton as he blows up and makes his mark on the dog and puppy training world in 2010.

Thank you Cesar. Thank you for being a moron. It is a great career move. For MY career. Thanks, bud.

Fat People @ Walmart should be walking dogs

I was at Walmart the other I wouldn’t be surprised if the average shopper tips  the scales about 60 lbs overweight. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but a recent study at the Research Center for Human-Animal Interaction at the University of Missouri tells society what dog owners already know. Dogs make people healthier, happier, fitter and they make people live longer.

There are several reasons for this. Number one, is the fact that dogs truly are man or woman’s best friend. They will have your back from the moment they are born until the day they die.  The social benefits of having friends like these are too numerous to mention.

Dogs who want to go for a walk and won't be denied

When dogs want to go for a walk, they won't be denied

But the simple fact is that once you start taking dogs for walks and for runs, they simply won’t be denied. They will pressure you. They will lead you on. They will make suggestions. They will matriculate the ball down the field as it were by giving you looks, by recognizing cues, by knowing what time of day it is, when walks usually occur. And Jackie Brown will literally bring running shoes (I have several pair), one after the other and drop them on my chest if I’m kicked back on the computer or playing video games.

Sometimes it’s annoying, but let yourself go! Dogs will guide you to better health and I will guide you how to exercise with dogs by showing you the methods I use to control dogs, so that they and YOU can get more exercise and have more fun doing it. The dogs in the picture together outweigh me and this is one of the reasons I developed the “Fo Paws Tricknology” to control dogs on walks and runs without having to drag them around or be drug around by big strong dogs, the kind that I prefer.

Politicians take note. Stop making laws and policy restricting and banning dogs. Dogs are an essential part of society and are essential to humanity, in ways too numerous to mention, but not the least of which, are keeping people healthier and happier, mentally and physically.

Looking for an Alternative to the Dog Whisperer?

You’ve found someone better. Smarter. Wiser. Faster. Stronger.

The United States has become a punitive society. We call ourselves the “Land of the Free” but we are really “the Home of the Jailed.” The United States of America incarcerates more people than any nation on earth. More than China, which has 4x the population. For whatever reason, we have become a punitive society. The most punitive nation in the history of the world. With ever more draconian punishment and correction because politicians are afraid of looking “soft on crime.”

Do we really have the most evil people in the world living in the United States? Or is there something evil about our criminal justice system?

What does this all have to do with dog training? A lot. Dog trainers and experts are not immune from the direction of society at large. It is no coincidence that during the right wing presidency of George W. Bush that a right wing dog expert like the Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan would arise with a message of tough love, correction, and no fun dog training and handling.

There is a price to pay with a heavy handed message of punishment and correction. Whether for dog or human, it creates severe side effects. As for the side effects on humans, we would need massive volumes and I’ll leave that to others to describe.

As for dogs, a punitive/corrective/confinement approach and philosophy leads simply to a diminished dog. Diminished in intelligence, curiosity, learning and creativity. And a more dangerous dog. A dog who may find no other option than to use his teeth in opposition to the methods employed against him.

Michael T. Patton aka “The General” is a Left Wing/Libertarian dog expert who is fully capable of using punishment and correction. But he eschews punishment and correction whenever possible. Or if he uses correction, he does it in a way that does not put the dog in a position of having to defend himself from the crazy human with the choke chain.

Want to know the main difference between a Right Wing dog expert like Cesar Millan and a Left Wing dog expert like Michael T. Patton? Besides Michael having a Biology degree and Cesar not having one, Right Wing dog experts have a lot of experience being bitten by dogs. They will brag about the number of times they have been bitten by dogs and they will proudly show you their scars.

Michael T. Patton aka, “The General” has never been bitten while training a dog, even though he has reformed dogs who were fighting to the death. Not only is he better, smarter and more talented. He is a real writer, so when Michael T. Patton gets a book deal (and he will) he will be able to write his own books!

2010 is going to be a good year!

Watch this Puppy Training Video First

Watch this video before accepting any training methodology

Watch this video before accepting any training methodology

Before you get a puppy. Before you do anything else with a dog, before you buy into any training philosophy or methodology, you SIMPLY MUST WATCH THIS VIDEO. I was reading a story on MSNBC the other day about how more and more women are choosing to have babies in their own homes, without the presence of medical personnel because the medical establishment has turned pregnancy “into disease that must be managed.”

The same thing has happened with Puppy Raising. Dog experts in the past 20-30 years have turned puppies into a disease, into a disaster that needs to be controlled, confined, contained and fixed. Not the birth of puppies, but the actual puppies themselves.

There’s nothing wrong with a puppy. A puppy is an opportunity, not a problem. An opportunity to change your life and to change the world. A puppy is a bundle of energy and optimism and enthusiasm. The only thing that can screw that up is you, or the dog trainer or the dog training book or methodology or ideology you are using.  All I’m asking you to do is to think twice before you implement any philosophy. Look at what I’ve done with almost no effort with a pit bull type puppy that went through two homes before she got to me.  And I did it effortlessly.

The entire story of Jackie’s first year (aka The American Puppy Project) will be available in a documentary format in 2010. Until then, stay tuned for more about her. Thanks for watching!

Astounding offleash pit bull training! Michael calls out the Dog Whisperer

 jackie brown unleashed!

In this video, I not only confront the Dog Whisperer and explain why I’m better than him, but I confront, just about all of conventional dog training with an astounding display of offleash pit bull type dog training in the streets of Southern California. Shock collars, prong collars, choke collars, gentle leader and halti collars, illusion collar, michael makes a mockery of the ridiculous array of collars used to force and punish dogs by focusing on the most powerful tool of all. The Dog’s brilliant mind.

New Video Coming! Jackie Brown Offleash Puppy Training

This video will describe in stark contrast what separates me from the Dog Whisperer and any other trainer that relies on shock collars, choke collars, prong collars or other forms of correction/punishment to train dogs. It is astounding what I have done with this puppy in terms of offleash training without ever giving her a single  shock or leash correction. Astounding offleash pit bull training! The video will be released sometime over the thanksgiving break.

The Wild Dog Kwame Brown

Sure, the big star of “The American Puppy Project” is the puppy dog Jackie Brown, but the kingly and regal looking Kwame Brown was a puppy once too. A WILD puppy. He was abandoned in a park, tied to a bench in Norristown, PA, and left there in a snow storm on a cold January night in 2002. He was found by the dearly departed Chazz (1995-2009). Together, these three dogs Chazz,  Kwame Brown (7) and Jackie Brown (1)were all puppies once. And we will be bringing you footage and pictures from all of their puppyhoods in the ongoing web based American Puppy Project documentary. On that subject, we are super excited to have found a project similar to our own. The DailyCoyote by Shreve Stockton. We purchased the book sight unseen at Borders and recommend that you do too if you are interested in the canine/human connection and the wildness therein.

On the subject of censorship…

I have been participating in a forum on the website http://pitbulltalk.com and here is a reproduction of a post I made last night, or early this AM. One country which really scares me is China. Not because of their growing economic or military power, but because of their extreme/extraordinary efforts to impose “order” “control” “obedience” etc…on their population, as well as, of course, their policy of censorship as a way of governing.

Anyway, here is my post from the pitbulltalk.com forum. My philosophy/approach to dealing with dogs is to try as much as humanly possible to NOT control, contain, restrain, have surgery upon, put in a cage or otherwise try to restrict and control canines. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to train them. Of course I do. You can train in a restrictive authoritarian way, or you can do it in a playful and creative way.

Anyway, here is the post….

Hi Michael!

I see that you picked up the PM I sent you! I expect your next post to be the thread that I “suggested” that you start, or please find some place else to post.

Thanks!

Hi Michelle!

Let me tell you the way I would run a forum, were I of the mindset to run one, which I currently am not, hence the happenstance of my arrival here and the ensuing theatrics. Being of a liberal/libertarian bent, the first thing I would do is refrain from instituting authoritarian rule. I would refrain from following every thread and trying to control every poster and threaten them with PMs/consequences if they failed to fall in line.

I similarly refrain from such a modus operandi when I am training or interacting with the domestic canine and let me tell you why if I might?

Because it is this very refraination and disassociation with the traditional orthodoxy of the North American canine trainer/owner which makes me unique and interesting and worth paying attention to, despite the fact that I may engender heartburn in my constituents and/or combatants as a result of my nonorthotic, excuse me non orthodoxic operational stylistics.

But never mind that, as a liberal and liberated free thinking thought maker of thoughts that I have thunk and rethunk as well as others that I have unthunk and debunked, all the while continually conspiring to construct my own interpretational dynamics of every situation and circumstance that I find myself confronted with….

I guess what I’m trying to say here is that Incorrigible creative types throughout history have caused problems for the law and order types, for the police of all kinds, whether thought or law or language or style. There are those and that which favor rigid order and control and are uncomfortable with that and those who may resist the calls to conformity and colonization of the mind.

When you decide to let your mind and your pen run wild in this world, you do so with the full understanding that there are those in this world who will try to control you, ban you, restrict you and restrain you.

I’m sorry, where was I? I’m just rambling on here and I’m sure you all are getting bored.
Here’s where I am….
I’m getting ready to send out a press release about getting banned from YouTube. And I could not have gotten banned from YouTube (for life, no less!) without all of your help and support! And again, as the creative type that I am, I look at my banishment from YouTube as neither a good, nor a bad thing. It is simply a thing, a development that I must react to and react to it I must…the universe has zigged and I must decide whether to zag or do a double zig or something entirely new altogether…

And so it goes…so the world keeps unfolding and we’ve all got things to see and people to do. If for some reason I get banned because of this post, you can catch me on my website.

If not, I may be back to report/converse or interact, once again of my own free will….

this is michael
not trying to promote anything
just expressing myself b/c this is a healthy thing to do
